Ok, I’m sure you are probably looking at this website and thinking “This isn’t very professional looking”. You may even say the same thing after viewing the sample video on the Videos page about the quality of the videos. Well, let me tell you up front… I am NOT a professional. At least not a professional internet marketer. But I AM a professional tax preparer. I have been doing taxes professionally since 2002 and have been operating my own tax service since 2007. During this time I have seen quite a few tax returns that were downright butchered. And many more where people have not kept the proper records or were not even aware of the things they can or can not claim as expenses.
After becoming distributors for a direct sales company, we became aware of how ignorant most people are when it comes to their taxes. People who have never had any income other than a regular job that gave them a w-2 at the end of the year, and now they have all kinds of expenses that they never even thought about before. And just like that old song “Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places” they are looking for answers in all the wrong places.
Like they say “You can’t fix stupid” but you CAN fix ignorance. All it takes is a little education. My course on Self-Employed Taxes is over 3 1/2 hours of good quality education based on my years of experience, but most importantly based on IRS publications.
I started on this project before tax season in 2013 and by the time I learned how to edit the videos and compress them for quicker download, it is almost time for tax season again. I have reviewed the information before publishing and other than the fact that the amount you can claim per mile when you travel for business (which changes every year) and the fact that the simple method of claiming business use of the home that I mentioned as upcoming is now available, the information in this course is accurate.
If I were a professional Internet Marketer, this page would go on forever. But I am not. So instead of laying a bunch of words and benefits on you, I’m going to let you move on to the Videos page and check out lesson one.
